SPRING HAS SPRUNG AS THESSALY ROAD BLOOMS

March 2017

The Edible Avenue project, a joint venture between developer’s VINCI St. Modwen and The Edible Bus Stop, which has animated the boundary of New Covent Garden Market on Thessaly Road has come to life this Spring.

The planters, which were initially filled with winter vegetables by the staff and pupils of nearby St. George’s School have been well nurtured over the winter months, the fruit trees have started to blossom and the tulips are beginning to come through.

Next month, The Edible Bus Stop is due to return to Thessaly Road, and with the help of the local community and the pupils and staff of St. George’s, the planters will be refreshed and new space created for more edible bulbs and new herbs.
